About This Course
The IT Advanced Programme is an intensive two-year, advanced-level information technology programme developed for senior-secondary learners across participating schools within Rabboni Group of Schools. It prepares learners for higher education, technology careers, entrepreneurship and responsible leadership in an increasingly digital world.
The programme provides a bank of 27 specialist units. Every learner completes 20 units: 13 mandatory units and 7 electives selected according to interests, strengths and future career goals. Depending on the elective combination, the completed programme represents approximately 1,425–1,485 guided learning hours.
Learning is scheduled for a minimum of five hours per day, Monday to Friday, over approximately nine instructional months each year. Saturdays and Sundays are excluded. The two-year timetable provides approximately 1,950 available learning hours for lessons, practical work, assessment, integrated projects, revision and enrichment.
Programme Coverage
The curriculum covers computing systems, enterprise IT strategy, network design and administration, information management, programming, data modelling, website development, mobile applications, technical support, cybersecurity, software testing, cloud collaboration and digital technology project management.
Learners may also select from full-stack development, application integration, business analytics, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, robotics, automation, digital graphics, animation, game development, social media strategy, technology entrepreneurship, business-process transformation and other emerging technologies. Digital business finance and tax compliance is included among the programme’s mandatory units.
Throughout the programme, learners will build a professional portfolio demonstrating technical competence, creativity, teamwork, communication, ethical technology use, Christian character and leadership.
